Njeralathu Sree Rama Temple is located in Alanallur, near Mannarkkad, in Palakkad district, Kerala.
Njeralathu Sree Rama Temple is dedicated to Chatur Bahu Sree Rama (Sree Rama with four hands), and the idol is nearly 4 feet tall. The temple’s sankalpam (spiritual concept) envisions Sree Rama revealing his Vishwaroopa (cosmic form) to his mother Kaushalya immediately after his birth.
The main festival of the temple is celebrated on the Rohini nakshatra in the month of Makaram (January–February).
The temple also houses Upa Devatas such as Shiva, Ganapati, and Hanuman. A Shiva temple is situated within the nalambalam (inner courtyard), and shrines for Ayyappa and Rakshas are located outside.
Njeralathu Sree Rama Temple features a vatta sreekovil (circular sanctum sanctorum), believed to be the largest of its kind in Palakkad district. Behind the temple, there is a large pond covering an area of about two acres.
ഞെരളത്ത് ശ്രീരാമസ്വാമി ക്ഷേത്രം
ഞെരളത്ത് ശ്രീരാമ ക്ഷേത്രം പാലക്കാട് ജില്ലയിലെ മണ്ണാർക്കാട്‌വശമുള്ള അലനല്ലൂർ പഞ്ചായത്തിലാണ് സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്. ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ആരാധിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന രാമന്റെ രൂപം ചതുര്ബാഹു ശ്രീരാമായാണ് (നാലു കൈകളുള്ള) അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. ഈ പ്രതിമ ഏകദേശം 4 അടി ഉയരം കൂടിയതാണ്. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ സങ്കൽപം രാമൻ ജന്മം കഴിഞ്ഞു തന്റെ മാതാവ് കൗസല്യയ്ക്ക് വിശ്വരൂപം പ്രദർശിപ്പിച്ചതിന്റെ രൂപമാണെന്ന് വിശ്വാസമുണ്ട്.
പ്രധാന ഉത്സവം മകരമാസത്തിലെ രോഹിണി നക്ഷത്ര ദിനത്തിൽ ആചരിക്കുന്നു.
ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ഉപദേവതകൾ ആയി ശിവൻ, ഗണപതി, ഹനുമാൻ എന്നിവരുണ്ട്. നവംബലം ന്റെ ഭാഗത്ത് ഒരു ശിവക്ഷേത്രവും സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു. പുറത്തുള്ള ഭാഗത്ത് ആയപ്പനും ദുർഗ്ഗയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട പ്രതിമകൾക്കും ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ഉപദേവതകളായാണ് ആരാധന നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നത്.
വട്ടശ്രീകോവിലുളള ക്ഷേത്രം, പാലക്കാട് ജില്ലയിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ വട്ടവശശങ്കേതമാണെന്ന് വിശ്വസിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന് പിന്നിൽ, രണ്ട് ഏക്കർ വിസ്തൃതിയുള്ള ഒരു വലിയ പുഴയും കാണപ്പെടുന്നു.
