Pallikurup Sree Mahavishnu Temple is located in the village of Pallikurup in Mannarkkad Taluk, Palakkad district.
It is believed to be approximately 5,250 years old. The main deity of the temple is Lord Mahavishnu, and Lord Narasimha, enshrined in a circular sanctum on the southern side of the inner courtyard, is also highly revered.
Other sub-deities worshipped here include Vettakkaran, Lord Ayyappa, serpent gods (Nagas), and Lord Ganapathi. Intricate wooden carvings of the Dashavatara (ten incarnations of Vishnu) can be seen in the main temple hall.
A grand 9-day festival was celebrated here, featuring traditional temple arts such as Koothu, Kathakali, Koodiyattam, and classical music concerts. A divine astrological reading (devaprasnam) revealed that both Mahavishnu and Narasimha Murthi deserve equal reverence, and therefore, two flag masts are required. The temple festival is conducted at both sanctums simultaneously.
Kodiyettam (festival flag hoisting) is held on the Punartham day of the Malayalam month of Dhanu. The deity installation day (Prathishta Dinam) is observed on the Atham star in the month of Edavam. Last Saturday of Makaram is marked by a Thalappoli procession for Lord Ayyappa. Another major offering is the Vettakkaran Pattu (hymns for the hunting deity), conducted in the month of Vaisakham.

പാലക്കാട് ജില്ലയുടെ മണ്ണാർക്കാട് താലൂക്കിൽ പള്ളിക്കുറുപ്പ് ഗ്രാമത്തിൽ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം ചരിത്രപരമായി വളരെ പ്രസിദ്ധമാണ്. ഏകദേശം 5250 വർഷം പഴക്കമുള്ളതാണെന്ന് വിശ്വസിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. പ്രധാന പ്രതിഷ്ഠ മഹാവിഷ്ണുവാണ്, കൂടാതെ ചുറ്റമ്പലത്തിന്റെ തെക്കുഭാഗത്തുള്ള വട്ടശ്രീകോവിലിൽ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ച നരസിംഹമൂർത്തിക്കും സമാന പ്രാധാന്യമുണ്ട്.
ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ ഉപദേവതകളായി വേട്ടക്കാരൻ, അയ്യപ്പൻ, നാഗങ്ങൾ, ഗണപതി എന്നിവരും പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. മുഖമണ്ഡപത്തിൽ മരത്തിൽ കൊത്തിയ ദശാവതാര രൂപങ്ങൾ ദർശിക്കാവുന്നതാണ്. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ഒൻപത് ദിവസം നീണ്ടു നിൽക്കുന്ന ഗംഭീര ഉത്സവമാണ് നടക്കുന്നത്. കൂത്ത്, കഥകളി, കൂടിയാട്ടം, സംഗീത കച്ചേരി തുടങ്ങിയ ക്ഷേത്രകലകളെല്ലാം ഈ അവസരത്തിൽ അരങ്ങേറാറുണ്ട്. നരസിംഹനും മഹാവിഷ്ണുവും തുല്യപ്രാധാന്യമുള്ളതിനാൽ രണ്ട് കൊടിമരം വേണമെന്നത് ദേവപ്രശ്നത്തിൽ വ്യക്തമായിട്ടുണ്ട്.
അതിനാൽ ഉത്സവവും രണ്ട് ഭാഗത്തും സമകാലികമായി നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു.പ്രധാന ദിവസങ്ങൾ ആയി ധനുമാസത്തിലെ പുണർതം നാളിൽ കെടിയേറ്റം, ഇടവമാസത്തിലെ അത്തം നാളിൽ പ്രതിഷ്ഠാദിനം, മകരമാസത്തിലെ അവസാന ശനിയാഴ്ച അയ്യപ്പനു താലപ്പൊലി, വൈശാഖ മാസത്തിൽ നടക്കുന്ന വേട്ടക്കാരൻ പാട്ട് എന്നത് പ്രധാന വഴിപാടായി അനുഷ്ഠിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
