Thrikkaikkulangara Siva Temple, located in Kunisseri in Palakkad district, is a west-facing shrine historically associated with the Olappamanna Mana.
The main deity is Lord Shiva, and the temple also features sub-deities such as Lord Ganapathi, Lord Ayyappa, serpent gods (Nagas), and Brahmarakshas. Key festivals include the Kalasha Varshikam on Rohini star in Makaram, Ayyappan Vilakku on the first of Vrischikam, Navaratri, Thiruvathira in Dhanu, and Karutha Pradosham.
The temple, which has a nalambalam and a sacred pond, is situated in Kunisseri Puthen Gramam, with its origin linked to the Mulanthara Swayambhu Mahashiva Temple and the nearby Alamkulangara Bhagavathy Temple. Major offerings include Jaladhara, Archana, Pin Vilakku, Mrityunjaya Homam, Ganapathi Homam, Chuttuvilakku, and Niramala.
തൃക്കൈക്കുളങ്ങര ശിവ ക്ഷേത്രം
പാലക്കാട് ജില്ലയിലെ കുനിശ്ശേരിയിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന തൃക്കെക്കുളങ്ങര ശിവക്ഷേത്രം ഒളപ്പമണ്ണ മനവകയിലായിരുന്ന പുരാതന ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിലൊന്നാണ്. പടിഞ്ഞാറോട്ടാണ് ദർശനദിശ. ശിവൻ പ്രധാന പ്രതിഷ്ഠയായിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ഗണപതി, അയ്യപ്പൻ, നാഗങ്ങൾ, ബ്രഹ്മരക്ഷസ് എന്നിവയും ഉപദേവതകളായി പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. മകരമാസത്തിലെ രോഹിണി നാളിൽ നടക്കുന്ന കലശവാർഷികം, വൃശ്ചികം ഒന്നിന് ആചരിക്കുന്ന അയ്യപ്പൻ വിളക്ക്, നവരാത്രി, ധനുമാസത്തിലെ തിരുവാതിര, പ്രതിമാസ കറുത്ത പ്രദോഷം എന്നിവ ആചരിക്കുന്നു.
കുനിശ്ശേരി പുത്തൻഗ്രാമത്തിലെ ശാന്തമായ പരിസരത്തിൽ ക്ഷേത്രം നാലമ്പലത്തോടും ക്ഷേത്രക്കുളത്തിനോടും കൂടി സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു. തൃക്കെക്കുളങ്ങര ശിവക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ മൂലസ്ഥാനമായി മുളന്തറ മഹാശിവക്ഷേത്രവും ആലംകുളങ്ങര ഭഗവതിക്ഷേത്രവും അനുബന്ധക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളായി നിലകൊള്ളുന്നു. ജലധാര, അർച്ചന, പിൻവിളക്ക്, മൃത്യുഞ്ജയഹോമം, ഗണപതിഹോമം, ചുറ്റുവിളക്ക്, നിറമാല തുടങ്ങിയവയാണ് പ്രധാന വഴിപാടുകൾ.
