Kannachcha Devar temple, alternatively referred to as the Kannasha Tevar temple, is situated in Ezhumattoor Village within the Pathanamthitta district of Kerala.
This temple is devoted to Bhagavan Sri Krishna, who is revered in the form of Unnikrishnan (Navaneetha Krishnan).The deity honored in the temple is Ganapathi, recognized as the Upa Devata. The Pal Payasam, offered to Krishna, is prepared using buffalo milk (Eruma Pal).
The principal murti of the temple was initially venerated at the Ezhumattoor Koyikkal Kottaram. Historically, the temple encompassed nearly 7000 acres of land stretching from Vennikulam to Perumpatti. Various religious activities are conducted at this temple, including Bhagavata Saptaham, Akhandanama Japa, Ramayana recitation during the Karkitaka month, Ganapati Homam, Bhagavati Seva, Vinayaka Chaturthi, Mahaganapati Homam, Pujavayap in the Kanni month, and special pujas dedicated to Ayyappan during the Mandalam period.
കണ്ണച്ച ദേവർ ക്ഷേത്രം
പത്തനംതിട്ട ജില്ലയിൽ തിരുവല്ലയ്ക്ക് സമീപമുള്ള എഴുമറ്റൂരിലെ പ്രശസ്തമായ ക്ഷേത്രമാണ് കണ്ണച്ച ദേവർ ക്ഷേത്രം. തിരുവല്ല - മല്ലപ്പള്ളി - റാന്നി റോഡിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം കണ്ണശ്ശ ദേവർ ക്ഷേത്രം എന്ന പേരിലും അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു. നവനീത കൃഷ്ണൻ എന്ന പേരിൽ ആരാധിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന ഭഗവാൻ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണനാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ ദേവത.
ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ ഉപദേവത ഗണപതിയാണ്. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ കൃഷ്ണനുള്ള പാൽപായസം എരുമ പാൽ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് തയ്യാറാക്കുന്നു. വെണ്ണിക്കുളം മുതൽ പെരുമ്പട്ടി വരെ 7000 ഏക്കറോളം ഭൂമി ഒരുകാലത്ത് ക്ഷേത്രത്തിനായിരുന്നു. മല്ലപ്പള്ളി എഴുമറ്റൂർ കോയിക്കൽ കൊട്ടാരത്തിലാണ് ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന മൂർത്തിയെ ആദ്യം ആരാധിച്ചത്.
