Thonnallur Pattupurakkavu Bhagavathi Temple, is a renowned Hindu temple situated in Pandalam, India. The temple is positioned approximately one kilometer north of Pandalam Junction, adjacent to the Thiruvananthapuram - Angamaly MC Road.
The principal deity worshipped at the temple is Bhadrakali. Additionally, the temple features shrines dedicated to various other deities, including Ganapathi, Shiva, Udayan, Brahmarakshas, Yakshi, Nāga, Subrahmanyan, Navagraha, and Anamarutha.
The temple complex is equipped with an Anakkottil, which serves as a platform for elephants during the Seva ritual, a sacred pond, an office space, and several banyan trees. Facilities for Hindu weddings are available, comprising a feast hall and changing rooms. Furthermore, there is a stage designated for cultural events. Adjacent to the main temple, a Navratri mandapam annexe is located near Pandalam central junction, where the deity is Saraswati, revered as the goddess of knowledge, music, and the arts.
The annual temple festival takes place on the Aswathy day during the Malayalam month of Meenam. On this occasion, special poojas are conducted, alongside traditional temple art forms and cultural programs. In addition to the festival activities, the temple regularly organizes Devi Bhagavath Sathrams, Sapthahams, and Navahams, which feature performances and lectures centered around Hindu epics and puranas. The idol installation day is commemorated at the temple every June.
Navratri holds significant importance for this temple as well. Special poojas, Carnatic music concerts, and cultural events are hosted at the Navratri Mandapam annexe. Notably, the organizing committee for the Navratri festival comprises individuals from various faiths, including Muslims and Christians, reflecting the religious and cultural unity of Pandalam. The Navratri Mandapam is equipped to facilitate Vidyarambham at the conclusion of the Navratri celebrations.
പട്ടുപുരക്കാവ് ദേവി ക്ഷേത്രം
തോന്നല്ലൂർ പാട്ടുപുരക്കാവ് ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം ഇന്ത്യയിലെ പന്തളത്തിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു പ്രശസ്ത ഹിന്ദു ക്ഷേത്രമാണ്. തിരുവനന്തപുരം - അങ്കമാലി എംസി റോഡിൽ പന്തളം ജംഗ്ഷനിൽ നിന്ന് ഏകദേശം ഒരു കിലോമീറ്റർ വടക്കായി ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു. 2010-ൽ ഏപ്രിൽ 28 മുതൽ മെയ് 7 വരെ കേരളത്തിലെ ആദ്യ ദേവീഭാഗവത സത്രത്തിന് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം അതിഥേയത്വം വഹിച്ചു. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന പ്രതിഷ്ഠ ഭദ്രകാളിയാണ്.
ഗണപതി, ശിവൻ, ഉദയൻ, ബ്രഹ്മരക്ഷസ്സ്, യക്ഷി, നാഗം, സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യൻ, നവഗ്രഹം, അനമാരുതൻ തുടങ്ങിയ മറ്റ് ദേവതകളുടെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠകളും ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ കാണപ്പെടുന്നു. ക്ഷേത്ര സമുച്ചയത്തിൽ ആനക്കോട്ടി (ആനകൾക്കുള്ള വേദി), ഒരു പുണ്യ കുളം, ഓഫീസ് മുറി, ചില ആൽമരങ്ങൾ എന്നിവയും ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ഹിന്ദു വിവാഹത്തിനുള്ള ക്രമീകരണങ്ങൾ ഒരുക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്, കൂടാതെ വിരുന്ന് ഹാളും വസ്ത്രം മാറുന്നതിനുള്ള മുറിയും ഇവിടെ ഉണ്ട്. സാംസ്കാരിക പരിപാടികൾ നടത്തുന്നതിനുള്ള സ്റ്റേജും ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു.
പന്തളം സെൻട്രൽ ജംഗ്ഷനു സമീപം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന് നവരാത്രി മണ്ഡപം ഉണ്ട്. അറിവിന്റെയും സംഗീതത്തിന്റെയും കലകളുടെയും ദേവതയായ സരസ്വതിയാണ് അനുബന്ധ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠ. മീന മാസത്തിലെ അശ്വതി നാളിൽ ക്ഷേത്രോത്സവം നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു. ഈ ദിവസത്തിൽ പ്രത്യേക പൂജകൾ നടത്തപ്പെടും. പരമ്പരാഗത ക്ഷേത്ര കലാരൂപങ്ങളും സാംസ്കാരിക പരിപാടികളും സംഘടിപ്പിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
ഉത്സവ പരിപാടികൾക്കൊപ്പം, ദേവീഭാഗവത സത്രം, സപ്താഹം, നവാഹം എന്നിവയും ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ പതിവായി നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു. ഹിന്ദു ഇതിഹാസങ്ങളെയും പുരാണങ്ങളെയും അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കിയുള്ള അവതരണങ്ങളും പ്രഭാഷണങ്ങളും ഇതിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു. എല്ലാ വർഷവും ജൂണിൽ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ വിഗ്രഹപ്രതിഷ്ഠാദിനം ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നു. ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന് നവരാത്രി ആഘോഷങ്ങൾക്കു വലിയ പ്രാധാന്യമുണ്ട്.
നവരാത്രി മണ്ഡപത്തിൻ്റെ ഭാഗമായി പ്രത്യേക പൂജകളും കർണാടക സംഗീത കച്ചേരികളും വിവിധ സാംസ്കാരിക പരിപാടികളും സംഘടിപ്പിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. ഹിന്ദുക്കളെ കൂടാതെ, നവരാത്രി ഉത്സവത്തിന്റെ സംഘാടക സമിതിയിൽ മുസ്ലീങ്ങളും ക്രിസ്ത്യാനികളും ഉൾപ്പെടെ മറ്റ് മതങ്ങളിലെ ആളുകൾക്കു പങ്കാളിത്തമുണ്ട്. ഇത് പന്തളത്തിൻ്റെ മത-സാംസ്കാരിക സൗഹാർദ്ദത്തിന്റെ പ്രതീകമാണ്. നവരാത്രി ആഘോഷങ്ങളുടെ സമാപനത്തിൽ വിദ്യാരംഭം നടത്താനുള്ള സൗകര്യം നവരാത്രി മണ്ഡപത്തിൽ ഒരുക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
