Puthupalli Bhagavathy Temple is situated approximately one and a half kilometers from Melukara, in the Pathanamthitta district, near Pampayar.
Melukara is a minor sub-village located within Kozhencherry in the Pathanamthitta district. It is bordered on three sides by the Pampa River. The temple festival occurs during the month of Idavam.
Celebrations include the Ashtadravya Ganapati Homam, Navakam Puja, Nelpara offering, Bhadrakali Sahasranamarchana, and Bhagavathy Seva. The administration of the temple is overseen by the Bhagavathy Temple Welfare Committee.
പുതുപ്പള്ളിൽ ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം
പത്തനംതിട്ട ജില്ലയിലെ മേലുകരയിൽ നിന്നും ഒന്നര കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലത്തിൽ പമ്പയാറിനടുത്ത് സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന മനോഹരമായ പുതുപ്പള്ളിയിൽ ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം കാണാം. ഇവിടെ ഭഗവതിയാണ് പ്രധാന പ്രതിഷ്ഠ. പത്തനംതിട്ടയിലെ കോഴഞ്ചേരി പ്രദേശത്തുള്ള ഒരു ചെറിയ ഉപഗ്രാമമാണ് മേലുകര, ഇത് പമ്പാ നദിയാൽ മൂന്ന് വശങ്ങളിലുമാണ് ചുറ്റപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്.
ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ തിരുഉത്സവം ഇടവമാസത്തിൽ നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു. ഉത്സവത്തോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് അഷ്ടദ്രവ്യ ഗണപതി ഹോമം, നവകം പൂജ, നെൽപ്പറ വഴിപാട്, ഭദ്രകാളീ സഹസ്രനാമാർച്ചന, ഭഗവതി സേവ എന്നിവയും നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു. ക്ഷേത്രഭരണകാര്യങ്ങൾ പുതുപ്പള്ളിയിലെ ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രക്ഷേമ സമിതിയാണ് നിർവ്വഹിക്കുന്നത്.
