Midhunappilly Siva Temple is a revered Hindu temple located in the Chembukkavu area of Thrissur, Kerala.
This is an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, one of the principal deities of Hinduism known as the destroyer and transformer within the Trimurti (the Hindu trinity that includes Brahma and Vishnu). Thrikkarthika, This festival is dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. It is celebrated on the day when the star Karthika (Pleiades) is prominent, usually in the Malayalam month of Vrischikam (November-December). The temple is illuminated with countless traditional oil lamps, creating a beautiful spectacle known as Karthika Vilakku. Devotees participate in special poojas and offerings.
