Peringavu Sree Dhanwantari Temple is located on the outskirts of Thrissur town in Kerala.
The presiding deity is Lord Dhanvantari, revered in Hinduism as the divine physician of the devas and an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He is prominently mentioned in the Puranas as the god of Ayurveda. The temple also houses shrines dedicated to Lord Ganapathy, Goddess Lakshmi, and Lord Ayyappan.During the holy month of Ramayana Maasam, the temple becomes a center of devotion, with devotees participating in Ramayana Parayanam, recitations of the Ramayana to seek divine blessings.
The Illam Nira ritual, symbolizing prosperity, involves ceremonially filling the house with grains. Special days such as Oushada Seva Dinam are observed for healing prayers, while Dhanwantari Homam is performed to invoke the lord’s curative powers.Swargavathil Ekadashi, also known as Vaikuntha Ekadashi, is one of the most significant festivals celebrated here. On this sacred day, special prayers, discourses, and yagnas are conducted in honor of Lord Vishnu, who is believed to open the gates of heaven for the devoted. The celebrations attract large numbers of devotees who come to receive blessings and spiritual upliftment.

പെരിങ്ങാവ് ശ്രീ ധന്വന്തരി ക്ഷേത്രം കേരളത്തിലെ തൃശ്ശൂർ പെരിങ്ങാവിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു. ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന പ്രതിഷ്ഠ ധന്വന്തരിയാണ്. ഹിന്ദുമതത്തിൽ ദേവന്മാരുടെ വൈദ്യനായും വിഷ്ണുവിന്റെ അവതാരമായും ധന്വന്തരിയെ ആരാധിക്കുന്നു. ആയുർവേദത്തിന്റെ ദേവനായി പുരാണങ്ങളിൽ വിശേഷിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ഗണപതി, ലക്ഷ്മിദേവി, അയ്യപ്പൻ തുടങ്ങിയ മറ്റു ദേവതകളെയും പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
രാമായണ മാസത്തെ ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ, ഭക്തർ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ രാമായണ പാരായണത്തിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കുകയും, ക്ഷേമത്തിനും അനുഗ്രഹത്തിനും വേണ്ടി മഹാകാവ്യം വായിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. ഐശ്വര്യത്തിന്റെയും സമൃദ്ധിയുടെയും പ്രതീകമായ ഇല്ലംനിറ ഈ സമയത്ത് ആചരിക്കുന്നു. ഔഷധ സേവ ദിനം, ധന്വന്തരിഹോമം എന്നിവയും ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ട ആരാധനാ ചടങ്ങുകളാണ്.സ്വർഗ്ഗവാതിൽ ഏകാദശി എന്നും വിളിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന വൈകുന്ഠ ഏകാദശി ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ വലിയ ഭക്തിസാന്ദ്രതയോടെയാണ് ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നത്.
