തിരുവനന്തപുരം ജില്ലയിലെ പൂവാറിനടുത്തുള്ള കുളത്തൂർ ഗ്രാമത്തിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന അരുവ്വല്ലൂർ ശ്രീ മഹാദേവക്ഷേത്രം കേരളത്തിലെ അതിപുരാതന ശിവക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നാണ്. കിഴക്ക് ദർശനമായ മഹാദേവന്റെ സാന്നിധ്യത്തോടെ ക്ഷേത്രം ഭക്തരുടെ ആത്മീയ പ്രാധാന്യം നേടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

ചുറ്റമ്പലത്തിൽ പ്രദക്ഷിണം ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ ആദ്യമായി ശ്രീ ധർമ്മശാസ്താവിന്റെ സന്നിധിയും, പിന്നീട് ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണ ഭഗവാന്റെ ശ്രീകോവിലും സന്ദർശിക്കാൻ കഴിയും. ഇതിന് ശേഷം നാഗരാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ എത്തുന്നവരെ പിന്നീടാണ് മഹാദേവനെയും ഗണപതിയെയും ഭക്തിസംപൂജ്യമായി ആദരിക്കുന്നത്.
