Aryankuzhi Devi Temple is a renowned temple dedicated to the goddess, situated in Aryankuzhi within the Trivandrum district. This temple houses a Swayambhu Panchaloha idol of Goddess Parvati, who is revered as a manifestation of Goddess Shakti.
According to the legend, while a group of children was engaged in play, one of them fell and struck a sedimentary rock. Shortly thereafter, the rock began to bleed. Astrological analyses indicated a divine presence within the stone, prompting the local populace to revere it. This reverence ultimately led to the establishment of a renowned temple in southern Kerala. Lord Ganesh, Nagaraja, Brahmarakshassu, Maadan Thampuran, and Yakshi Amma are considered subordinate deities.
Navarathri Aghosham is a renowned festival that draws a significant number of devotees. On the Vijayadasami day of the Navarathri Utsavam, the ritual of Vidyarambham takes place. The temple's annual festival occurs in the month of Meenam, commencing with the invitation and placement of Bhagawathy in a pacha panthal. Ooroottu is the principal festival celebrated at Mukkolakkal Bhagavathy Temple each year. Also referred to as Ooroottu Maholtsavam, this festival begins on the Thiruonam nakshatra in the Malayalam month of Meenam. Key attractions of the Mukkolakkal Temple festival include Parakkezhunnallippu, Pongala, Kuthiyottam, traditional music and dance performances, as well as vibrant fireworks displays held within the temple grounds.
ശ്രീ ആര്യൻകുഴി ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം
ആര്യൻകുഴി ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം തിരുവനന്തപുരം ജില്ലയിലെ ആര്യൻകുഴിയിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു പ്രശസ്ത ദേവീക്ഷേത്രമാണ്. നഗരത്തിന്റെ കേന്ദ്രത്തിൽ നിന്ന് 3 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെയാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം. കിഴക്കേക്കോട്ടയിൽ നിന്ന് കോവളം റൂട്ടിൽ കമലേശ്വരത്താണ് ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ സ്ഥാനം. ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം ആദി പരാശക്തിക്ക് സമർപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ ഐതിഹ്യം പറയുന്നത്, ചില കുട്ടികൾ ആ പ്രദേശത്ത് കളിക്കുമ്പോൾ, അവരിൽ ഒരാൾ അടിഞ്ഞുകൂടിയ ഒരു കല്ലിൽ തട്ടി വീണു, പിന്നീട് ആ കല്ലിൽ നിന്ന് തനിയെ രക്തം വരാൻ തുടങ്ങി. ജ്യോതിഷ നിരീക്ഷണങ്ങൾ കല്ലിൽ ദൈവികതയുടെ സാന്നിധ്യം സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ചതോടെ, ചുറ്റുമുള്ള ആളുകൾ ഒരു ചെറിയ ക്ഷേത്രം നിർമ്മിച്ച് ആ കല്ലിനെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ച് ആരാധിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി. ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം പിന്നീട് തെക്കൻ കേരളത്തിലെ ഒരു പ്രശസ്തമായ ആര്യൻകുഴി ദേവീ ക്ഷേത്രമായി മാറിയതായി പറയുന്നു.
ആര്യങ്കുഴി ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ സ്വയംഭൂമായ (സ്വയം ഉത്ഭവിച്ച) പാർവതി ദേവിയുടെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠയാണ്. ഇവിടെ പഞ്ചലോഹ വിഗ്രഹം സ്ഥാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ മതിലുകളിൽ ദേവി ദേവന്മാരുടെ മനോഹരമായ ശില്പങ്ങൾ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ ആകർഷണത്തെ വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. പ്രത്യേകിച്ച്, അഷ്ടലക്ഷ്മിയുടെ (മഹാലക്ഷ്മിയുടെ എട്ട് അവതാരങ്ങൾ) പ്രതിമകൾ ശ്രദ്ധേയമാണ്. സമ്പത്തിന്റെ എട്ട് സ്രോതസ്സുകളുടെ അധിപനായ അഷ്ടലക്ഷ്മിയുടെ അവതാരങ്ങൾ ഈ സങ്കല്പത്തിൽ ഉദ്ഭവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. "സമ്പത്ത്" എന്നത് അഭിവൃദ്ധി, ആരോഗ്യം, ധനം, ധാന്യം, വിദ്യ, ധൈര്യം, സന്താനം, ശക്തി, വിജയം, മൃഗസമ്പത്ത് എന്നിവയെ ഉൾക്കൊള്ളുന്നു. അഷ്ടലക്ഷ്മിമാരെ സാധാരണയായി ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിൽ ചിത്രീകരിക്കുകയും ആരാധിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. വരലക്ഷ്മി വ്രതം, വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച വ്രതം, ദീപാവലി വ്രതം തുടങ്ങിയവ അഷ്ടലക്ഷ്മിമാരെ സംബന്ധിച്ചുള്ളവയാണ്. ഗണേശ ഭഗവാൻ, നാഗരാജ, ബ്രഹ്മരക്ഷസ്സ്, മാടൻ തമ്പുരാൻ, യക്ഷിഅമ്മ എന്നിവരെ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ഉപദേവന്മാരായി ആരാധിക്കുന്നു.
പ്രധാന വിശേഷദിവസങ്ങൾ:
ഭക്തരെ ആകർഷിക്കുന്ന ഒരു പ്രധാന ആഘോഷമാണ് നവരാത്രി. നവരാത്രി ഉത്സവത്തിന്റെ വിജയദശമി ദിനത്തിൽ വിദ്യാരംഭം നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു. വൃശ്ചികം - മണ്ഡലകാലം മുഴുവൻ വൃശ്ചിക മണ്ഡല മഹോത്സവം ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നു. മേടം - വിഷു ഉത്സവം, കർക്കിടകം - ആടി ചൊവ്വ ഉത്സവം എന്നിവയും ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നു.
ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ വാർഷിക ഉത്സവം മീനമാസത്തിൽ നടക്കുന്നു. ഭഗവതിയെ പച്ചപന്തലിൽ (പച്ച പനയോല കൊണ്ട് നിർമ്മിച്ച കുടിൽ) ക്ഷണിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ഉത്സവം ആരംഭിക്കുന്നു. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന ഉത്സവം ഊരൂട്ട് ആണ്. മലയാളമാസമായ മീനത്തിലെ തിവോണം നക്ഷത്രത്തിൽ ഊരൂട്ട് മഹോത്സവം നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു.
