There are two Keleswaram Shiva temples located in the Thiruvananthapuram district. One temple is situated in Chirain, while the other, known as the Keleswaram Mahadeva Temple, is found near Balaramapuram.

കേളേശ്വരം ശിവ ക്ഷേത്രം
തിരുവനന്തപുരം ജില്ലയിൽ രണ്ട് കേളേശ്വരം ശിവക്ഷേത്രങ്ങൾ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു. ഒന്നാണ് ചിറയിൻകീഴിൽ, മറ്റൊന്ന് ബാലരാമപുരത്തിനടുത്തുള്ള കേളേശ്വരം മഹാദേവ ക്ഷേത്രം. ചിറയിൻകീഴിലെ കേളേശ്വരം ശിവക്ഷേത്രം ഒരു പുരാതനവും ശക്തിമത്തായ ക്ഷേത്രമാണ്. ശരണാഗതരായ ഭക്തസഹസ്രങ്ങൾക്ക് അഭയസ്ഥാനമായി, ആശ്രിതവത്സലനും ആപത്ബാന്ധവനുമായ ശ്രീമഹാദേവൻ, പ്രപഞ്ചേശ്വരനായ ദൈവീക സാന്നിധ്യത്തോടെ, ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ഉജ്ജ്വലമായി വിരാജിക്കുന്നു.
ശ്രീകോവിൽ, നമസ്ക്കാരമണ്ഡപം, ചുറ്റമ്പലം, ബലിക്കൽപുര തുടങ്ങിയ വാസ്തുവിദ്യാ ഘടനകൾ ഉൾക്കൊള്ളുന്ന ഒരു സാധാരണ കേരള ശൈലിയിലുള്ള ക്ഷേത്രമാണിത്.
ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ ശ്രീകോവിലിന്റെയും മുഖമണ്ഡപത്തിൻറെയും മേൽക്കൂര ചെമ്പ് തകിട് പാകി, ക്ഷേത്രത്തെ കൂടുതൽ മനോഹരമാക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. കേളേശ്വരം ശിവ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന ഉത്സവങ്ങൾ മഹാശിവരാത്രിയും, തിരുവാതിരയുമാണ്. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ എല്ലാ പ്രത്യേക ദിവസങ്ങളിലും ആഘോഷങ്ങൾ നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു.
