Kulathoor Phanamugham Devi Temple (കുളത്തൂർ ഫണമുഖം ദേവി ക്ഷേത്രം) is an ancient and renowned temple located in Kulathoor village, Neyyattinkara Taluk, in the Trivandrum District of Kerala, India.
The principal deity of the temple is Goddess Bhadrakali, who is revered for providing devotees with resolutions to their challenges. Pilgrims from various regions of Kerala flock to the temple to engage in the festivities and seek the blessings of Goddess Bhadrakali. A notable ritual, known as Thookkam Nercha, is conducted at the Kulathoor Phanamugham Devi Temple during its annual festival in the Malayalam month of Kumbham. This distinctive practice involves devotees being suspended from a scaffold with hooks inserted into their skin as an offering to Goddess Bhadrakali, representing their devotion and penance. കുംഭമാസത്തിൽ പത്ത് ദിവസം നീണ്ടുനിൽക്കുന്ന ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ കുംഭഭരണി തൂക്കമഹോത്സവം വളരെ പ്രശസ്തമാണ്. നൂറ്റാണ്ടുകളായി തുടരുന്ന ഈ ഉത്സവം അത്യപൂർവ്വമായ ഒരു അനുഭവമാണ്. കുംഭമാസത്തിൽ (ഫെബ്രുവരി-മാർച്ച്) ഈ ഉത്സവം ആഘോഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
തൂക്കമഹോത്സവം തൃക്കൊടിയേറ്റത്തോടെ ആരംഭിക്കുന്നു. കുംഭഭരണി ദിവസം രാവിലെ ദേവി വടക്കേവീട്ടിലേക്ക് എഴുന്നേൽക്കുന്നു. വടക്കേവീട്ടിൽ പൂജയും ഗുരുതിയും കഴിഞ്ഞ ശേഷം, നെല്ലിക്കോണം ശ്രീദുർഗ്ഗാ ശ്രീധർമ്മശാസ്‌താക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ നിന്നുള്ള കാവടി ഘോഷയാത്ര, താലപ്പൊലി, മുത്തുക്കുട, ചെണ്ടമേളം, പഞ്ചവാദ്യം എന്നിവയോടുകൂടിയുള്ള അകമ്പടിയോടെ ദേവി പച്ചപ്പന്തലിൽ ഉപവിഷ്ടയാകുന്നു. താലപ്പൊലി, പിടിപ്പണം തുടങ്ങിയ നേർച്ചകൾക്കു ശേഷം ഉച്ചക്ക് നേർച്ചതൂക്കം ആരംഭിക്കുന്നു. മീനമാസത്തിലെ മേടം മാസത്തിലെ പന്ത്രണ്ട് ദിവസത്തെ പറണേറ്റ് മഹോത്സവം, കുളത്തൂർ ദേശീയോത്സവമായി അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു. ഒരു ഗ്രാമം മുഴുവൻ ആഘോഷത്തിന്റെ ആസ്വാദനത്തിലേക്ക് മാറ്റുന്ന അത്യന്തം പ്രത്യേകമായ ഒരു അനുഷ്‌ഠാനകലയുടെ ഭക്തി നിറഞ്ഞ പ്രകടനമാണ് ഇത്.
