Maroodu Shiva Parvathy Temple is a historic temple situated 1.4 kilometers from Attingal Keezhat in the Thiruvananthapuram district. The principal deity worshipped here is Lord Mahadeva and Parvati.

Situated in the center of Elappuram village, Marut Temple is nestled in a picturesque setting characterized by lush paddy fields, coconut groves, and banana plantations, contributing to the village's verdant landscape. This sacred site is dedicated to the deities Shiva and Parvati, with the idol representing Lord Shiva in his Nataraja form. Additionally, Ganesha and Nagar are revered as subordinate deities. The temple is affiliated with the Maruveedu family.
മാരൂട് ശിവപാർവ്വതി ക്ഷേത്രം
ആറ്റിങ്ങലിൽ നിന്ന് 1.4 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെയുള്ള പുരാതനമായ മാരൂട് ശിവപാർവ്വതി ക്ഷേത്രം, ഏലപ്പുറം ഗ്രാമത്തിലെ ഹൃദയഭാഗത്ത് സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു. നൂറ്റാണ്ടുകൾ പഴക്കമുള്ള ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം ശിവനും പാർവ്വതിക്കും സമർപ്പിതമാണ്. ശിവന്റെ നടരാജ രൂപത്തിലുള്ള വിഗ്രഹം മുഖ്യ പ്രതിഷ്ഠയാണ്. ഗണേശനും നാഗങ്ങളും ഉപദേവതകളായി ആരാധിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. മനോഹരമായ ഗ്രാമാന്തരീക്ഷത്തിൽ നെൽപ്പാടങ്ങളും തെങ്ങിൻതോപ്പുകളും ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന് ചുറ്റുമുണ്ട്, ഇത് സ്ഥലത്തെ ഹരിതാഭമാക്കുന്നു.
