Moolayilkonam Sri Mahadevar Temple is situated along Prashanth Nagar Road, near Ulloor Junction, on the Ulloor-Akkulam route in Thiruvananthapuram district.
Moolayilkonam Sri Mahadevar Temple is a modest yet stunningly beautiful temple located 1.9 kilometers from Ulloor Junction. The temple's Thiruvutsavam festival is observed for five days during the month of Kumbham.
This celebration features a variety of special rituals, including Bhagwati Pooja, Nagaroot, Padmamitt Devi Puja, Ponkala, Kalasha Pooja, Thalapoli, and Pushpabhishekam. The festivities are marked by vibrant processions, including those with elephants, as well as artistic performances and cultural events that enhance the temple's ambiance. The administrative responsibilities are managed by the Moolailkonam Sri Mahadevar Temple Trust. Key observances include Mahashivaratri in the month of Kumbham and Vinayaka Chaturthi in the month of Chimgam. Additionally, construction of the Shri Karinkali Amma temple is currently underway in proximity to the main temple.

ഉത്സവത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി ഭഗവതി പൂജ, നാഗരൂട്ട്, പദ്മമിട്ട് ദേവീപൂജ, പൊങ്കാല, കലശപൂജ, താലപ്പൊലി, പുഷ്പാഭിഷേകം എന്നിവയുൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള പ്രത്യേക പൂജകളും, വർണ്ണപകിട്ടാർന്ന ഘോഷയാത്രയും, ആനയെഴുന്നള്ളിപ്പും, കലാപരിപാടികളും സാംസ്കാരിക പരിപാടികളും ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ അന്തരീക്ഷത്തെ ഭക്തിസാന്ദ്രമാക്കുന്നു. മൂലയിൽകോണം ശ്രീ മഹാദേവർ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ ഭരണകാര്യങ്ങൾ ട്രസ്റ്റ് നിർവഹിക്കുന്നു. പ്രധാനമായ വിശേഷദിവസം കുംഭമാസത്തിലെ മഹാശിവരാത്രിയാണ്.
