Neeramankara Sri Bhadrakali Devi Temple (നീറമണ്‌കര ഭദ്രകാളി ക്ഷേത്രം) is a sacred site dedicated to the divine mother, who is revered for her ability to safeguard and bestow prosperity and well-being upon her devotees.
Approximately two hundred years ago, the goddess was venerated in the ancient tradition of Thekkathil. During that period, devotees would visit to pray and apply ashes (Bhasmam), resulting in the alleviation of their ailments. However, over time, the practice of worship at Thekkathil ceased. As the reverence for the goddess diminished, both the family and the community experienced a surge in illnesses. Devotees now perform a deva prashanam at this site. The findings suggest that a Bhadrakali temple should be constructed and consecrated at the location where Thekkathil was previously honored, and that a festival should be held featuring Nirapara Ezhunnallath.
The festival takes place in Chithira Nakshatra during the month of Meenam. Today, the focus is on Neeramankara. The temple features shrines dedicated to various sub-deities, including Ganapati, Ayyappan, Nagar, Ayiravilli, Yakshiamma, Madan, Mantramurthy, and Yogeeswaran. Every Tuesday, devotees offer Muttarakkal, which is believed to fulfill their desires through the blessings of Neeramankara Shri Bhadrakali Devi, aiding in the removal of negativity, attainment of status, accumulation of wealth, enhancement of family reputation, affliction of enemies, and alleviation of serious ailments. On this day, the temple's Melshanthi, Vaikom Shaiju thirumeni, performs the worship of a coconut on behalf of the devotees, reciting the ‘Abhishtakaryasaadhya’ prayer before breaking the coconut in the presence of the goddess. All devotees are welcome to participate in the Muttarakal offering.

അനന്തപത്മനാഭന്റെ തിരുമുറ്റമായ തിരുവന്തപുരത്തിൽ, ചരിത്രത്തിന്റെ ഹൃദയസ്പന്ദനങ്ങൾ ഏറ്റുവാങ്ങി, നിരവധി ചരിത്രസത്യങ്ങൾക്ക് സാക്ഷ്യം വഹിക്കുന്ന, വിളിച്ചാൽ വിളിപ്പുറത്തെത്തുന്ന സർവ്വൈശ്വര്യപ്രദായിനിയും, കരുണാമയിയുമായ ദേവി വാണരുളുന്ന ഒരു പുണ്യസ്ഥാനമാണ് നീറമൺകര ശ്രീ ഭദ്രകാളി ദേവി ക്ഷേത്രം. ഏകദേശം രണ്ട് നൂറ്റാണ്ടുകൾക്കുമുമ്പ്, ഇവിടെ പുരാതന സമ്പ്രദായത്തിൽ ദേവിയെ ആരാധിക്കാൻ ആരംഭിച്ചിരുന്നു. ആ കാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ, ഭക്തജനങ്ങൾ ഇവിടെ എത്തി പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ച് ഭസ്മം ധരിക്കുന്നതിലൂടെ അവരുടെ രോഗദുരിതങ്ങൾക്ക് ശമനം ലഭിച്ചിരുന്നു. പാപ്പനംകോടിൽ നിന്നും 1.9 കിലോമീറ്റർ ദൂരത്തിൽ യാത്ര ചെയ്താൽ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെത്താം. കാലക്രമത്തിൽ, തെക്കതിലെ ആരാധനയും മറ്റ് ചടങ്ങുകളും നിലച്ചപ്പോൾ, ദേവിയുടെ ചൈതന്യത്തിൽ മങ്ങലുണ്ടായി.
ദേവീ ചൈതന്യത്തിന്റെ മങ്ങലിനെ തുടർന്ന് കുടുംബത്തിലും നാട്ടിലും രോഗബാധകൾ വ്യാപകമായി പടർന്നുവന്നു. ഈ സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ ഭക്തജനങ്ങൾ ചേർന്ന് ഒരു ദേവ പ്രശ്നം ഉന്നയിച്ചു. പ്രശ്നത്തിന്റെ പരിഹാരമായി, മുമ്പ് തെക്കായി ആരാധിച്ചിരുന്ന സ്ഥലത്ത് ഒരു ഭദ്രകാളി ക്ഷേത്രം നിർമ്മിച്ച് പ്രതിഷ്ഠ നടത്തുകയും, നിറപറ എഴുന്നള്ളത്തോടുകൂടി ഉത്സവം ആഘോഷിക്കണമെന്നും നിർദ്ദേശം ലഭിച്ചു.ഭക്തജനങ്ങൾ ദേവപ്രശ്നവിധിപ്രകാരമുള്ള ഒരു ക്ഷേത്രം നിർമ്മിക്കാൻ ചേർന്ന് ഒരു കമ്മിറ്റി രൂപീകരിച്ചു.
2007-ൽ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ പണി ആരംഭിച്ചു. എല്ലാവരുടെയും സഹകരണത്തോടെ 2009-ൽ ക്ഷേത്രം പൂർത്തിയാക്കി പ്രതിഷ്ഠ നടത്തപ്പെട്ടു. ഇപ്പോൾ ഇവിടെ നിത്യപൂജയോടൊപ്പം വിവിധ വിശേഷപൂജകളും നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു. കേരളത്തിൽ അത്യപൂർവ്വമായി നടക്കുന്ന 'മുട്ടറക്കൽ പൂജ' എല്ലാ ചൊവ്വാഴ്ചകളിലും ഇവിടെ നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു. മീനമാസത്തിലെ ചിത്തിര നക്ഷത്രത്തിൽ ഉത്സവം നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു.
അഭീഷ്ട കാര്യസിദ്ധി, സ്ഥാനലാഭം, ധനലാഭം, കുടുംബജനാരിഷ്ടത, ശത്രുപീഡ, കഠിനമായ രോഗങ്ങൾ, വിളിദോഷം എന്നിവയുടെ ദോഷപരിഹാരത്തിനായി എല്ലാ ചൊവ്വാഴ്ചകളിലും മുട്ടറക്കൽ വഴിപാടിലൂടെ ഭക്തർക്ക് ശ്രീ ഭദ്രകാളിദേവിയുടെ അനുഗ്രഹം ലഭിക്കുന്നു. ഭക്തരുടെ പേരിലും നാളിലും നാളികേരം പൂജിച്ച് ക്ഷേത്രമേൽശാന്തി വൈക്കം ഷൈജുതിരുമേനി ഭക്തർക്ക് അഭിഷ്ട കാര്യസാദ്ധ്യ പ്രാർത്ഥന ചൊല്ലിക്കൊടുത്ത് അമ്മയുടെ തിരുസന്നിധിയിൽ നാളികേരം ഉടയ്ക്കുന്ന ചടങ്ങാണ് ഇത്. എല്ലാ ഭക്തജനങ്ങൾക്കും മുട്ടറക്കൽ വഴിപാടിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കാൻ അവസരം ലഭ്യമാണ്.
