The temple is particularly celebrated for its Kaliyut Paranate Pongal festival, which commences on the Kumbhabharani Nakshatra during the month of Kumbha. The festivities include the procession of the deity, traditional dances, Uchabali, Dikubali, Kalankavaal, Pongala, Ullnercha, Kuthiyottam, Thalapoli, Paranate, Nilathipor, various temple rituals, lighting ceremonies, fireworks, food offering vows, Pushpabhishekam, and culminate with the Aarat ceremony. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ കാളിയൂട്ട് പറണേറ്റ് മഹോത്സവം വളരെ പ്രശസ്തമാണ്. കുംഭമാസത്തിലെ കുംഭഭരണി നക്ഷത്രത്തിൽ ഉത്സവം ആരംഭിക്കുന്നു. അമ്മയെ പുറത്തെഴുന്നള്ളിച്ച് പാടികുടിയിരുത്തി ഉച്ചബലി, ദിക്കുബലി, കളങ്കാവൽ, പൊങ്കാല, ഉരുൾനേർച്ച, കുത്തിയോട്ടം, താലപ്പൊലി, പറണേറ്റ്, നിലത്തിപ്പോര് തുടങ്ങിയ ക്ഷേത്ര ചടങ്ങുകൾ നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു. കൂടാതെ, വിളക്ക് കെട്ട്, കരിമരുന്ന് പ്രയോഗം എന്നിവയും ആചാരനുഷ്‌ഠാനങ്ങളായി ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു. അന്നദാനം, പുഷ്പാഭിഷേകം എന്നിവയും നേർച്ചകളായി നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു. ഈ എല്ലാ ചടങ്ങുകൾക്കും ശേഷം ആറാട്ടോടുകൂടി ഉത്സവം സമാപിക്കുന്നു. ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് ഭക്തജനങ്ങൾ ഉത്സവ ദർശനത്തിനായി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലേക്ക് എത്തുന്നു.
