ശ്രീ പൂമാല പരദേവതാ ക്ഷേത്രം
വയനാട് ജില്ലയിലെ കൽപ്പറ്റയിൽ നിന്ന് പാറക്കൽ വഴി കാക്കവയലിലേക്കുള്ള 12 മിനിറ്റ് (10.5 കിലോമീറ്റർ) യാത്രയിലൂടെയാണ് ശ്രീ പൂമാല പരദേവതാ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെത്താനാകുന്നത്. ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം ഒരു കുലത്തെ മുഴുവൻ സംരക്ഷിക്കുന്ന ദേവതയെ ആരാധിക്കുന്നതിൽ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കിയുള്ള പുരാതനതയും ആധ്യാത്മികതയും നിറഞ്ഞതാണ്.
ക്ഷേത്രകാര്യങ്ങൾ വിശ്വഹിന്ദു പരിഷത്തിന്റെ മേൽനോട്ടത്തിലാണ് നടക്കുന്നത്.‘പരദേവത’ എന്ന നാമം തന്നെ കുടുംബദേവതയെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നതാണ്. ‘കുലദേവത’ എന്ന പദവും അതേ അർത്ഥത്തിൽ ഉപയോഗിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു — കുലത്തെ സംരക്ഷിക്കുന്ന ദേവത. ഈ ദേവത കുലത്തിന്റെയും വംശത്തിന്റെയും ആചരണങ്ങളെയും ധർമ്മങ്ങളെയും സംരക്ഷിക്കുന്നവളാണ്. അതുകൊണ്ടുതന്നെ ഈ ദേവതയെ 'ധർമ്മദേവത' എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്നതും സ്വാഭാവികമാണ്.
