Koleri Temple is located in Nadavayal, Panamaram in the Wayanad district.
This temple has a unique architectural style that sets it apart from typical temple structures. Temples in Kerala are religious establishments that have passed through various historical and cultural phases, undergoing many transformations over time. Unfortunately, many temples have lost their traditional architectural charm and have been transformed into plain concrete buildings. The construction style of this temple follows the Jain temple model. Since Wayanad has a significant number of Jain temples, this influence is likely reflected in the architectural design of this temple. The temple, which was once in a dilapidated condition, has been recently reconstructed. It is just a 15-minute drive from Nadavayal to reach the temple.

വയനാട് ജില്ലയിലെ പനമരം നടവയലിൽ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു ശ്രദ്ധേയമായ ക്ഷേത്രമാണ് കൊളേരി ക്ഷേത്രം. ഇതിന്റെ നിർമ്മാണശൈലി സാധാരണ ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിൽ കാണുന്നതിൽ നിന്നും ഏറെ വ്യത്യസ്തമാണ്. കേരളത്തിലെ ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങൾ ചരിത്രപരവും സാംസ്കാരികപരവുമായ അനവധി കാലഘട്ടങ്ങളിലൂടെ കടന്നുപോയ മതസ്ഥാപനങ്ങളാണ്. ഇവയിൽ ചിലത് പുരാതനകാലത്തെ സംസ്കാരിക പ്രതീകങ്ങളായി നിലകൊള്ളുന്നവയാണെങ്കിൽ, മറ്റൊന്നും ആധുനിക കാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ നിർമ്മിച്ചവയുമാണ്.
ഇന്നത്തെ അനേകം ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങൾ പുരാതന വാസ്തുവിദ്യയുടെ സങ്കേതങ്ങൾ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച് വെറും കോൺക്രീറ്റ് കെട്ടിടങ്ങളായി മാറിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. എന്നാൽ കൊളേരി ക്ഷേത്രം ജൈനക്ഷേത്രശൈലിയിലാണ് നിർമ്മിക്കപ്പെട്ടത്. വയനാട്ടിൽ ധാരാളം ജൈനക്ഷേത്രങ്ങൾ നിലനിന്നതിനാൽ അതിന്റെ സ്വാധീനം ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലുമുണ്ടായിരിക്കാമെന്നു കരുതപ്പെടുന്നു.
നാശോന്മുഖമായിരുന്ന ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം സമീപകാലത്താണ് പുനരുദ്ധാരണം ചെയ്തത്. നടവയലിൽ നിന്നു ഏകദേശം 15 മിനിറ്റ് യാത്ര നടത്തിയാൽ ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെത്താനാകും.
