വയനാട് ജില്ലയിലെ വരയാൽ പ്രദേശത്ത് സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന, അനേകം ഭക്തജനങ്ങളെ ആകർഷിക്കുന്ന പ്രശസ്തമായ ക്ഷേത്രമാണ് ശ്രീ വരയാൽ കുരിക്കിലാൽ വരദായിനി ദേവി നാഗരാജ നാഗയക്ഷി ക്ഷേത്രം. വയനാട്ടിൽ നിന്നു ഏകദേശം 37 കിലോമീറ്ററും, മാനന്തവാടിയിൽ നിന്നു 17.3 കിലോമീറ്ററും ദൂരത്തിൽ ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു. ആദിപരാശക്തിയെയും നാഗദേവതകളെയും ഒരേ പ്രതിഷ്ഠയിൽ ചേർത്ത് പാരംസ്യമായി ആരാധിക്കുന്ന അപൂർവ സങ്കല്പമാണിത്.
മംഗല്യ വരദായിനിയായ അമ്മയുടെ സാന്നിധ്യം കൊണ്ടുതന്നെ ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം "വരദായിനി ക്ഷേത്രം" എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്നു. ഭഗവതിയുടെ സാന്നിധ്യത്തിൽ മംഗല്യ സൗഭാഗ്യത്തിനായും ജാതകത്തിലെ കാളസർപ്പയോഗ പരിഹാരത്തിനായും ഭക്തജനങ്ങൾ ഇവിടെ എത്തുന്നു. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന ദേവതകളായ വരദായിനി ദേവി, നാഗരാജ, നാഗയക്ഷി എന്നിവരെ കൂടാതെ, ഗണപതി, മുത്തപ്പൻ, മലക്കാരി, പൂവാൻതെയ്യം, പുറംകാലൻ ദേവൻ, വീരഭദ്രൻ, ശ്രീ ഭദ്രകാളി എന്നിവരും ഉപദേവതകളായി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ആരാധിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
ശക്തിസ്വരൂപിയായ മംഗല്യ വരദായിനിയായ അമ്മ എല്ലാ സൗഭാഗ്യങ്ങളുടെയും ദാതാവായ മാതാവായി ഇവിടെ ആരാധനാ മൂർതിയായിരിക്കുന്നു. കേരളത്തിലുടനീളവും പുറത്തുനിന്നുമായും അനവധി ഭക്തർ ദിവസേന ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ എത്തുന്നുണ്ട്.
